Silke Rothe joined the team at Spirit Legal in 2023. She has been an attorney-at-law since 2000 and worked as an attorney-at-law and managing director of a regional intellectual property law firm in Leipzig for 13 years before joining Spirit Legal.
Silke Rothe first studied foundry technology at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg and graduated with an engineering degree. After then studying law in Berlin and Leipzig, she passed the second state examination in law in the Free State of Saxony. She has been a trained mediator since 2001, a specialist in intellectual property law since 2012, and in 2015 she also completed her theoretical training as a specialist in copyright and media law.
Silke Rothe is a volunteer on the legal committee of the Leipzig Chamber of Industry and Commerce, a board member of the non-profit association supporting the Institute of Law for Lawyers at the University of Leipzig, and a board member of the GRUR Central-East Regional Group. She has also held a number of teaching posts in intellectual property at the HTWK Leipzig, the University of Leipzig and the Zwickau University of Applied Sciences.
In her spare time she enjoys travelling, exercise, books and nature. She is also interested in fine arts. She uses yoga, Leipzig’s riverside woodland, and her two gardens to maintain a good work-life balance.
